Zayn Malik shot to fame in 2010 when he auditioned
as a solo artist on the British X-Factor, little did
he know that he was soon to become a member of the
world’s most successful boy band One Direction
and become a global superstar. But after just five
years in the limelight…did the fame get too much?
In March 2015, a week after leaving the group's Asia
portion of their world tour indicating stress, Zayn
shocked fans world over when he announced that he would
be leaving One Direction for good, citing his desire
to live a "normal 22-year-old" life out of
the spotlight. Emotional tributes poured in throughout

appeared to break down in tears on stage as he apparently
